Spectral properties of Schrödinger operators on compact manifolds: rigidity, flows, interpolation and spectral estimates

This note is devoted to optimal spectral estimates for Schrödinger operators on compact connected Riemannian manifolds without boundary. These estimates are based on the use of appropriate interpolation inequalities and on some recent rigidity results for nonlinear elliptic equations on those manifolds.

The Cauchy problem for Schrödinger flows into Kähler manifolds

We prove local well-posedness of the Schrödinger flow from Rn into a compact Kähler manifold N with initial data in Hs+1(Rn, N) for s ≥ [ n 2 ] + 4.

Effects of European Sovereign Debt (Leverage) Crisis on Bilateral Trade Flows

Outbreak of 2009 European sovereign debt (leverage) crisis has been one of the most crucial economic events of recent years. Accordingly, researchers devoted a great deal of efforts to elucidate origins and consequences of this crisis, particularly focusing on its potential effect on international trade flows. Yet in the literature, there have been rare studies on exploring the effects of sover...

ENTROPY OF GEODESIC FLOWS ON SUBSPACES OF HECKE SURFACE WITH ARITHMETIC CODE

There are dierent ways to code the geodesic flows on surfaces with negative curvature. Such code spaces give a useful tool to verify the dynamical properties of geodesic flows. Here we consider special subspaces of geodesic flows on Hecke surface whose arithmetic codings varies on a set with innite alphabet. Then we will compare the topological complexity of them by computing their topological ...

On the Birkhoff factorization problem for the Heisenberg magnet and nonlinear Schrödinger equations

A geometrical description of the Heisenberg magnet (HM) equation with classical spins is given in terms of flows on the quotient space G/H+ where G is an infinite dimensional Lie group and H+ is a subgroup of G. It is shown that the HM flows are induced by an action of R2 on G/H+, and that the HM equation can be integrated by solving a Birkhoff factorization problem for G. For the HM flows whic...
